ABOUT US

MarcusBrox was originally co-founded by aspiring director's Tyler Marcus & Jason Smith (A.K.A. Jason "Brox") in 2003, as "MarcusBrox Ideas." This collaboration began when they met in film school, in the fall of 2001. They're first co-directed project entitled "Farsighted" was produced during this time for a final film project. Some time after this short film, they continued to do production primarily for musicians and steadily brought on other talented, young minds along the way. Meanwhile, they crafted scripts and gained more experience for building an established base of operation. Their love of music, as well as cinema, ultimately led them into making Winterland Studios their home of operations. And as a result, synergizing the creative possibilities as a complete production house. In same spirit of filmmakers like Robert Rodriguez & M. Night Shyamalan, MarcusBrox strives to produce work independently, close to home, and cost-effectively through the many digital filmmaking technologies of today... and tomorrow.
